The Great Gargantua Quest

Gargantua turns 30 next year! We don’t want to celebrate Gargantua itself, but those who have been its fans from the very beginning. That is why we have started looking for owners of a Gargantua from the last century. They may remember their purchase as though it was yesterday, but often do not realise that their practical picnic table has already reached such an advanced age. They were made last millennium, imagine! Pretty exceptional for outdoor furniture, right?

The Great Gargantua Quest

How many objects do you still own from the last century?

Over thirty years, we have seen a whole generation grow up. The children then are the parents now. Dirk Wynants designed this table for his young family when he was thirty himself. But Thomas, Annelies and Tine are far from the only children who grew up around this table. Indeed, a new generation is already emerging. Because of its adjustable benches for children, Gargantua is often passed on to the next generation. The epitome of sustainability: a product that links generations and keeps on showing its worth. Products that remain relevant for so long, brushing aside the fads of fashion or societal changes, are sadly rare. That is why we are more than proud of Gargantua, by now a true design classic!
