Rockford Trail
Rockford, United States
In projects, Hopper, Bistroo
Along Michigan’s White Pine Trail, the city of Rockford has installed Hopper benches, inviting passersby to pause and soak in the beauty of the Rogue River. The trail’s smooth, well-maintained surface accommodates both walkers and cyclists, making it a great path for exploration and relaxation.
Biking or walking the White Pine Trail offers both solitude and connection. This 92.6-mile path, following a former railway, stretches from Comstock Park to Cadillac, crossing five counties. It’s a haven for cyclists, runners, and walkers, providing an escape from traffic and fostering camaraderie with fellow trail users. Along the stretch of the White Pine Trail that passes through Rockford, you can pause to enjoy stunning views of the Rogue River or the iconic Rockford Dam, while sitting on a Hopper Bench or a Bistroo duo seat.
Hopper bench
The Hopper bench is perfect for any setting, whether it’s in streetscapes, trails or squares. This multifunctional design is a step up from traditional public benches. The attached legs allow you to slide in from the sides and sit down with a backrest while the top surface doubles as a tabletop when facing the opposite direction. Such versatility allows for a quick change of scenery while adding comfort along the way. Perfect for a short break from walking or biking the White Pine Trail.

Bistroo
Both Bistroo and the Hopper bench are perfect for public spaces, offering a chance to enjoy both the view and good company. Both also feature the added convenience of an integrated tabletop. However, as a two-seater, Bistroo creates a more intimate setting, while Hopper accommodates larger groups. Choose a color to match or complement the surroundings—like Verdigris, as shown here!
